Patients A-Z Admission

On the day of your admission, you will have the opportunity to sign the "Patient Consent Form for Data Protection". With this consent form, your general practitioner and referring physician will receive an electronic copy of the doctor's letter. The doctor's letter will be handed to you on the day of your discharge at your local base or sent to you by post.

Doctors are legally obliged to inform you about certain procedures, vaccinations, medications and treatments. To do this, an appointment is made for an informative consultation. During the consultation, you will be given an information sheet, which you will discuss step by step with the respective doctors. Technical terms and anything you do not understand will be explained to you.

For the time being, you will (in most cases) come in for a final preliminary examination.

The protection of your data is particularly important to us. All employees of our hospital are subject to the legal duty of confidentiality. During the nursing history interview, you will be asked about your confidant (who is authorised to receive information about you) and will be given a personal password for medical information (see also "Personal password"). You can also find our data protection regulations on our website.

The e-card is an electronic health card, which should normally always be carried with you.

If a procedure such as surgery or endoscopy is necessary, doctors will ask you to sign a consent form. Only sign this form once you have been given comprehensive and understandable information about the nature and extent of the treatment.

At the Zell am See site, the medical secretaries will provide you with information prior to your planned stay regarding where you should go to register on your planned admission day.

You can reach the levels via the two lifts located on the left-hand side of the entrance area.

It is important that doctors are aware of any known illnesses and are informed about any medication already being taken.
