The central operating theatre is the operational heart of our hospital, a place where we combine high-tech and humanity at the Tauernkliniken. Here, state-of-the-art medical technology, well-established procedures and the highest hygiene standards come together to perform operations safely and successfully. For several
years now, the operating area in Zell am See has comprised six operating theatres, and the entire department has been expanded by two operating theatres. As part of these renovations, the intensive care unit and recovery area have also been enlarged and modernised. Our operating theatres are equipped with the latest technology, enabling our doctors to perform even complex procedures with precision and care. Through central coordination and clear structures, we create short distances and optimal working conditions – always with the aim of ensuring the best possible care for our patients.
Operating theatre nursing – expertise, experience and proximity
Our team of surgical nurses plays an indispensable role in the success of treatment. With their expertise, care and empathy, they support every single procedure.
Our surgical nurses are responsible for:
- Preparing and tidying up the operating theatre
- Assisting during surgery in close cooperation with the doctors
- Ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and sterility
- Providing individual care for patients before, during and after the procedure
