Your stay
What to keep in mind during your stay
Please remain in your room during rounds, treatment times, and meals. For your privacy and that of others, we kindly ask visitors to leave the patient room during these times.
As a complementary measure to promote health, well-being, and the activation of self-healing powers, our nursing team has been offering aromatherapy care for some time.
Spending time in our ecological recovery room is not only welcome but often recommended—please ask your doctor for guidance. Don’t forget to check out with the nursing staff on your floor before visiting. For safety reasons, the recovery room is closed during winter
Avoid alcohol, as alcohol and medication do not mix well.
The prayer room is a good place to find peace and pray. The entrance to the prayer room in Zell am See is located behind the large staircase in the entrance hall and is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Our prayer room in Mittersill is currently closed due to ongoing renovation work. We thank you for your understanding.
For information on the respective masses and church services, please contact our pastoral care team.
Anger and other negative emotions are not conducive to the recovery process. We are happy to assist you if you are seeking advice or help. For praise, suggestions and complaints, we have the ombudsman service (ombudsstelle@tauernklinikum.at) and the patient survey (available online and in paper form).
We kindly request that you sign out at the station base when leaving the station so that appointments for visits, therapies and examinations can be arranged with you and adhered to.
If you wish to leave the hospital, please consult a doctor!
We offer you the opportunity to use effective and certified organic aromatherapy products.
Aromatherapy can help alleviate the unpleasant side effects of medical treatment and also have a positive effect on the course of your illness. In consultation with your nurse, you decide for yourself whether to use alternative care products.
Our doctors are legally obliged to inform you about certain procedures, vaccinations, medications and treatments. To do this, an appointment is made for an informative consultation. During the consultation, you will receive an information sheet, which you will discuss step by step with the respective doctors. Technical terms and anything you do not understand will be explained to you.
At the hospital, it is important to be able to identify yourself. Ideally, this should be with an e-card or photo ID so that your details can be recorded and you can receive the best possible treatment.
There is an ATM in the service area in the entrance hall at Zell am See (opposite the information desk).
Accompanying persons may be admitted as part of your treatment. The staff at patient discharge will inform you about the costs to be paid.
General visiting hours are from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For special class patients, extended hours from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. apply.

The blinds open automatically at 7:30 a.m. and when the wind speed reaches 13 m/s.

It is important that doctors are aware of any known illnesses and are informed about any medication already being taken.
Your mobile phone is an important tool for organising insurance, contacting relatives, etc. However, mobile phones can interfere with medical equipment. Therefore, please only use your mobile phone after consulting with the nursing staff. We also ask you to be considerate of others and to set your mobile phone to silent or switch it to flight mode.
Getting enough sleep promotes recovery. Night-time rest begins at 9 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m.
