Sustainability management
at Tauernklinikum

Sustainability in hospitals is a key issue, as the healthcare sector has a significant impact on the environment, from energy consumption and waste production to resource consumption and building design. At Tauernkliniken, we have been working on continuous environmental protection for years. In addition, we have developed a holistic concept that integrates sustainability into all areas of our business and positively influences the behaviour of our employees.

How we live sustainability

We are committed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a better world, which were adopted by the United Nations in 2015. These goals aim to create a better and more sustainable future for all people worldwide by 2030.

The Tauernklinikum is expressly committed to SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4, Quality Education, and SDG 13, Climate Action. These goals are firmly anchored in our corporate strategy and guide our daily actions.

Security of supply in the region through prudence in the value chain

In evaluating the key areas for optimising our range of services, taking valuable ESG factors into account, we conducted an analysis along the entire value chain. With our holistic support approach, we are optimising our infrastructure, actively participating in training and further education, and promoting innovative services.
