Self-help at Tauernklinikum
Strong together – encouraging exchange.

Self-help has a firm place at Tauernklinikum. As self-help-friendly hospitals, we actively promote cooperation with self-help groups in order to provide the best possible support to patients and their relatives – during their stay and beyond.

Self-help groups offer the opportunity to connect with people who have had similar experiences. Open exchange helps to gain new perspectives, draw strength and strengthen confidence in one's own resources. We are convinced that healing goes beyond medical treatment – it requires community, understanding and courage.

Self-help-friendly hospital

The Tauernklinikum has been officially recognised as a self-help-friendly hospital and works closely with self-help groups. This cooperation strengthens trust between patients, relatives and the treatment team and creates a supportive environment that goes beyond medical care.

Mobile advice centre

At its Zell am See location, Selbsthilfe Salzburg regularly offers a mobile counselling centre directly at the Tauernklinikum hospital.

  • Time: Every first and third Tuesday of the month, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Location: Directly on the wards of the Tauernklinikum Zell am See hospital
  • Offer: Free and non-binding advice on self-help for patients, relatives and interested members of the public
  • Advance registration: Not required – just drop by.

This regular presence gives patients and their relatives the opportunity to obtain information and support from self-help groups before or during their stay – personally, easily and confidentially.

The Tauernklinikum supports this initiative with conviction: together with our partners at Selbsthilfe Salzburg, we want to open up avenues for greater exchange, strength and quality of life.
