new senior physicians

(Zell am See, 10 September 2025) – Yesterday, Tuesday, the Tauernklinikum held a ceremony with the collegial management of the hospital to appoint four specialists as new senior physicians. "

The targeted promotion of our medical staff is a central part of our responsibility as a hospital – because this is the only way we can ensure excellent, future-oriented patient care. The promoted colleagues stand out not only for their outstanding professional competence, but also for their great commitment and strong team spirit," emphasises Managing Director Mag. Silke Göltl.

"As the largest healthcare provider in Pinzgau, we attach great importance to the further development of our specialist staff. The appointment opens up new perspectives for our employees and creates greater responsibilities," says Dr Michael Hofer, Medical Director of the hospital. The new senior physicians work in the departments of general and visceral surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology and urology.

In their new roles as senior physicians, they will make a decisive contribution to further improving the quality of our medical care, while also serving as an inspiration for the next generation of doctors on their career path. The Tauernklinikum employs a total of 1,190 staff at both locations, including almost 200 doctors who care for patients.
