Specialist takes over
ENT department

On 1 September 2024, lecturer Dr Ildikó Takács was appointed head of the "Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine" department at the Tauernklinikum Zell am See hospital.

(Zell am See, 5 September 2024) – An exciting new chapter in medicine has recently begun for both Dr Takács and the ENT department at Tauernklinikum. The experienced doctor, who was head of the ENT department in Budapest for many years, is a real asset to the medical team in Zell am See with her versatile skills.

As an additional laser specialist, she is familiar with the latest treatment methods in ear, nose and throat medicine and impresses with her surgical knowledge. In addition to her day-to-day work as a doctor and head of the ENT department at the MeDoc Health Centre in Budapest, the dedicated academic has never lost her enthusiasm for training and further education. As deputy head of the institute and associate professor at the University of Pécs, she worked in the faculties of health sciences and surgery and research.

"As Medical Director of Tauernklinikum, it is very important to me to be able to guarantee the best healthcare in the region. This also applies to the ENT department, of course. There is a particular need for this in Pinzgau, which the department's staff will cover together with their colleagues in private practice," says Dr Michael Hofer, Medical Director.

"I am excited about the new environment and look forward to the opportunity to lead the ENT department at the Tauernklinikum as a lecturer.
