OA Dr Raffaele Eigner appointed head of the Department of General and Visceral Surgery

(Zell am See, 18 April 2024) – Dr. Raffaele Eigner was appointed head of the Department of General and Visceral Surgery on 1 April 2024. He is a long-standing employee of the Tauernklinikum and has already demonstrated both his professional and leadership qualities as interim head of department. Dr Eigner brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this responsible position.

Surgery A particular focus at Tauernklinikum is on laparoscopic surgery. This is a "keyhole technology" that requires only minimal incisions. Dr. Eigner is also a recognised expert in the field of obesity treatment.
