DGKP Kathrin Wimmer MBA takes over management

(Zell am See, 14 November 2024) – On 1 October, Tauernkliniken welcomed DGKP Kathrin Wimmer MBA to her new position as school director. As a long-standing teacher of health and nursing at the nursing school, she already brings a wealth of expertise to this position. In addition, her professional career is marked by numerous other qualifications, training courses and management positions. "The

role of our nursing school as a regionally important institution for nursing training requires a very good and stable framework at the management level. With Kathrin Wimmer, our institution has gained an experienced, empathetic and competent director. We are confident that she will lead the students and teaching staff with a high sense of responsibility and creativity, and we congratulate her on her new position," says Mag. Silke Göltl, MA, Managing Director of Tauernkliniken.

Kathrin Wimmer is well acquainted with positions of responsibility in the health and nursing sector. Before joining the nursing school, the qualified nurse managed the "Seniorenhaus Margaretha" retirement home in Kaprun. She started her own business over six years ago with her "Training for Care and more" programme to train staff in the care sector. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree in health and social management at the "body and health academy Linz". Further qualifications include training in surgical nursing and certification as a pain manager.

Director of Nursing DGKP Martina Grießer MSc is certain: "With Kathrin Wimmer as headmistress, our school for health and nursing is in the best of hands. I am delighted that she, as a long-standing, committed colleague with professional and social competence, has decided to take on this new role. For me, she is the right person to master the challenges of the future."

Kathrin Wimmer herself is looking to the future with motivation: "I have 'grown up' professionally in the healthcare sector and feel at home and competent there. I also know the nursing school very well and am familiar with the internal processes, the teaching staff and the students. I am therefore very much looking forward to leading them all into a successful future as director."
