The next step is to begin renovating the outpatient clinic, which will involve temporarily relocating the main entrance.

(Mittersill, 15 May 2025) – The comprehensive renovation of the Tauernklinikum Mittersill hospital is progressing rapidly and according to plan. An important milestone has already been reached: the renovation work on level 2 has been successfully completed. Since the beginning of May, patients have been able to use the newly designed rooms on level OG2.

The next phase of construction is now beginning with the renovation of the outpatient clinic. In order to carry out this work efficiently and safely, a number of organisational changes are necessary.

New main entrance from Monday, 2 June

From 2 June, the main entrance to the hospital will be temporarily relocated to Building B. This measure will enable the work in the outpatient clinic to proceed smoothly. Direct access will of course remain possible for emergencies and people with reduced mobility. Two "Kiss & Ride" parking spaces are available in front of the new temporary entrance for short stops to drop off and pick up passengers. All other patients and visitors are requested to use the signposted access from the car park (see site plan).

Outlook for the next steps

The renovation is being carried out in stages and is scheduled for completion by spring 2026. In the coming months, the existing primary care centre (PVZ) will be relocated, the new ÖGK dental clinic will be opened, and a physical medicine practice and a health and social counselling centre will be set up, among other things.

These measures will strengthen and modernise medical care in the region in the long term. "

Adherence to the schedule is our top priority – so I am all the more pleased that the renovation is progressing well and according to plan," emphasises Mag. Silke Göltl, Managing Director of Tauernkliniken. "My special thanks go to all the contractors who are working on the project with great commitment and professionalism. Together, we are creating the best conditions for modern, patient-oriented care in Oberpinzgau."

The management team at Tauernklinikum would like to express its sincere thanks to all patients, visitors and employees for their understanding and patience during the renovation phases.
