Information, discussion and spectacular entertainment were on the agenda for the golden anniversary.
(Zell am See, 8 July 2024) – Celebrating has never been as healthy as it was at the 50th anniversary and open day of the Tauernklinikum nursing school! Last Thursday, 4 July 2024, numerous visitors were able to discover, enjoy and immerse themselves in the exciting world of nursing professions in a lively atmosphere!
Right from the start of the event in the morning, it was clear that nursing is more than just a job for the employees of the Tauernklinikum. They enthusiastically explained the many facets of nursing to interested listeners at the various stations. Visitors were also able to try their hand at various tasks and experiment to their heart's content. From health checks and blood sampling to surgical and anaesthesia care, the practical exercises were very well received. The nursing training courses at the Tauernklinikum are as diverse as the tasks at the ward stands. These include full-time and part-time courses for certified nursing assistants, nursing assistants and certified health and nursing care in the higher service. However, the most important news for all interested parties was the extension of the registration deadline for the autumn course until 31 August 2024 (see information below).
Mayor Andreas Wimmreuter opened the ceremony, which was attended by numerous guests of honour, and offered his heartfelt congratulations on the long-standing and valuable existence and forward-thinking approach of the renowned nursing school. "The health and nursing school at the Tauernklinikum makes a very important contribution to the health and care system in Pinzgau and has a proud track record. Many of the graduates have remained in the region and have established themselves as indispensable colleagues at the Tauernklinik locations, in the various nursing facilities in Pinzgau or at the school itself. And I am convinced that it is one of the most important tasks of politics to ensure that the highest quality of healthcare is guaranteed in the south of the province of Salzburg and also to ensure that the entire range of nursing professions can be learned in our region."
Mag. Silke Göltl, Managing Director of Tauernkliniken GmbH, proudly reports: "Around 900 graduates have successfully completed their nursing diploma training at the Tauernklinikum Health and Nursing School to date, and over 150 more will do so by summer 2026." She enthusiastically adds: "The highly motivated team at the school, the dedicated hospital staff and the modern facilities guarantee comprehensive, high-quality training. It's wonderful to see how many young people are interested in a career in nursing."
During a joint tour of the exciting interactive stations with Maria Sonnweber (interim school director at GuKPS), the graffiti project "Kunst macht Schule" (Art Goes to School) (artist: Crazy Mister Sketch) was unveiled. The spray-painted image symbolises the joy that nursing can bring to the lives of others. The result impressed both the young guests and the entire Tauernklinikum team.
After a day full of inspiration and information, it was finally time to "rock" the last highlight. Under the anniversary motto "We celebrate with you", the band "Rockytop" opened their set and accompanied everyone present into the beginning of the next 50 years of dedication to nursing training in Pinzgau.
